ICI-CDO joined the Habitat for Humanity Activity last May 26 at Indahag, Cagayan de Oro. With the commitment of building up 6,000 houses for families affected by Typhoon Sendong, Habitat for Humanity (HFH) Philippines is opening its second site, a 10.99-hectare resettlement area in Brgy. Indahag, Cagayan de Oro City.
The land was given by the Cagayan de Oro local government to HFH Philippines and it will be a community for 1,700 families. A notice to proceed with the land development and construction of duplex houses has already been given to HFH Philippines by the city government.
ICI Students, Faculty and Staff volunteered without hesitation. Working under the heat of the sun to help the victims of typhoon Sendong carrying sacks of cement and sand, mixing cement, shoveling, flooring and other works.
We are really happy to help the victims of the typhoon sendong.
