Entry Content and Requirements

1. A suggested “Name” for your game (up to a maximum of 50 characters)

2. A “Game Description” of up to a maximum of 1,000 words describing the game you have “Creatively Thought Of!”. If pre-existing game elements are incorporated into the Game, then you must clearly identify each of these elements in the Game Description. YOUR USE OF PRE-EXISTING GAME ELEMENTS MUST NOT INFRINGE ON ANY THIRD PARTY RIGHTS. The Game Description must include the game’s main objective and an explanation of how game play achieves this objective. The Game Description should also include any secondary objectives and an explanation of how game play achieves those objectives.

a. For example, if the main objective is to gain points to achieve the next game level, explain how the player earn those points, and if the secondary objective is to collect an “energy boost” to help you gain those points, then explain how the player collects this “energy boost”. The Game Description should include a discussion of the complexity of graphics and other items used in the game. The Game Description should include a discussion of the possibility and impact of viral distribution and what aspects of the game will motivate a player to invite more players.

3. Entries must be the original work of the entrant, must not infringe any third-party rights, may not invade privacy or other rights of any person, firm or entity, may not in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations, may not contain any reference to any third party

4. The Challenge is open to individuals, teams of individuals, and business entities (each individual, each team, each individual member of a team, and each entity is referred to as a “Participant” in these Terms) who are citizens of the Republic of the Philippines, who are of the legal age at the time of entry.

5. All Participants will provide certain registration information when submitting an Entry (“Registration Information”).

6. Any false information provided within the context of the Challenge by any Participant including information concerning identity, mailing address, telephone number, email address, or ownership of right, or non-compliance with these Terms, or the like may result in the immediate elimination of the Participant from the Challenge.

7. To submit an Game Idea, during the Entry Period, participants must visit the Competition Site, click on the “Submit Idea” link, and complete the Game Idea entry form providing all required information. The description of the Game Idea in the entry form must be sufficiently clear and detailed to allow the Sponsor to readily assess the purpose, content, and utility of the proposed application. There is no limit on the number of Game Ideas each participant may submit, but each Game Idea must be unique and submitted in a separate entry form via the Competition Site.

8. Game Ideas submitted must be the original work of the participant submitting them. By submitting a Game Idea in the Competition, participant voluntarily forfeits all proprietary rights in the Game Idea and conveys full ownership to Sponsor. Game Ideas submitted shall not: (i) violate the intellectual property rights (copyright, patent, trademark, etc.) of any third party; (ii) defame or invade the publicity or privacy rights of any person, living or deceased; (iii) be the subject of a patent or pending patent application; or (iv) otherwise infringe upon any person’s or entity’s personal or proprietary rights. Participants are responsible for ensuring that Sponsor may use, develop, build, or otherwise publish their Game Ideas without the permission of any third party. Any entries found to be in violation of these provisions will be disqualified. Entries must not be obscene, profane, or unsuitable for publication in Sponsor’s sole discretion.

9. Right to use entries and personal information: By submitting an Game Idea in the Competition, participants understand and agree that, as the owner of all rights in the Game Ideas submitted, Sponsor may post, publish, display, use, reproduce, distribute, edit, translate, exploit, and create derivative works from the Game Ideas, the entries (including any visual materials), for any commercial or non-commercial purposes in any manner and in any medium now known or hereafter devised throughout the world in perpetuity without restriction and without further obligation to participants or any other party. Participants agree and understand that Sponsor may choose to build, or not to build, and allow others to build applications based on the Game Ideas. Participants agree and understand that Sponsor will make all eligible Game Ideas and accompanying comments within participant’s entry form available so that others may use the Game Ideas and comments in building applications in future projects without restriction by or further obligation to participants. By submitting a Game Idea to the Competition, participants specifically agree to such use. Participants agree not to instigate, support, maintain or authorize any action or lawsuit against Sponsor and/or its affiliates, or any of their employees, officers, directors, or agents, on the ground that any use or development of their Game Ideas, entries or comments infringes any of their rights as creators of such Game Ideas, entries, and comments.

10. By entering the Competition and by submitting Game Ideas on the Competition Site, participants grant Sponsor and its affiliates, the rights, without limitation or further permission or compensation, to use, display and publish their name, role and country, with or without their Game Ideas, or other entry materials, on the Competition Site and in connection with any references to or discussions of the Competition in any media. Winners’ full names, role and country, as well as their Game Ideas, entries and any comments relating to their Game Ideas, may be featured on the Competition Site and websites of the Sponsor and its affiliates and in printed and online publications. Participants hereby forever waive and relinquish all so-called “moral rights (droit moral)” now or hereafter recognized in the Game Ideas, entries and comments.

11. The names of the winners will be posted on the Competition Site for at least thirty (30) days after the winners are selected.

12. Mobile Game Challenge 2013 will start on March 4, 2013. There will be 4 winners every week. Weekly winners will receive a Gift Certificate from McDonalds or Jollibee.

13. Weekly winners is now entitled for the Monthly Draw and will have a chance to win a 7” Android Tablet.

14. Weekly entries must be submitted before the scheduled weekly draw starting March 4, 2013.

15. This competition is open to ALL ICI students in all 3 branches and residents of Iligan City and the whole of Philippines.

16. Judging will be based on these criteria:

a. Originality: concepts or gameplay mechanics that are new and unseen, novel, exciting and imaginative
b. Gameplay: A game that ultimately sounds engrossing and fun to play, rather than more of a chore
c. Potential: The ability for the game idea to break new ground and excite people, what we feel could potentially become a big hit
d. Conciseness: Is this short, clear, and to-the-point?
