Kumbira 2013, on its 17th year, is the longest culinary show. This time, it sets on a new trend of showcasing various food and beverages competitions, among others. This year’s KUMBIRA theme is “Negosyo Kulinarya, Building Home-grown Band” held at Limketkai Atrium in Cagayan De Oro. KUMBIRA is a professional and student culinary show and live competition lasting for three days. On August 14-16, 2013, the ICI–Iligan students proved and presented their cooking skills and styles in the kitchen. It was a very exciting moment for the ICI participants in demonstrating their talents and skills in professional and student category competition; including the Chef War competition with the theme of “New Asia” and “Classical Western” respectively. The ICI Team supported one another boosting individual’s self-confidence to showcase their full potential in the event.
Indeed, it was a gratifying opportunity for both students and coaches to be part of this skill competition of their life as a contestant and as a person. With some awards and citations on hand, ICI-Iligan participants went home with renewed aspirations. Kudos for ICI-Iligan Team.
