ICI Conducted 3rd Alegre Culinary Competition

ICI’s Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) Department recently conducted its annual event the 3rd Alegre Culinary Competition with the theme: “Istilong Pinoy” last March 28, 2012 from 8am to 7pm at the City Plaza. The said event is organized to showcase the five trade areas of HRM course which include; Commercial Cooking, Bartending, Baking and Pastries, Fruit and Beverage Service and Housekeeping.

HRM students compete in various competitions like Flower Arrangement, Fruit and Vegetable Carving, Table Setting, Flair Bartending and Table Skirting. The organizers invited judges from Iligan City N ational High School (ICNHS), St. Michael’s College, STI and other educational institutions here in Iligan City. Spectators were entertained by the amazing performances displayed on that day.

 

The winners will represent ICI in the upcoming Kumbira in Cagayan de Oro City anytime this year. The day ended with great smiles and pride because not only they showed everyone how skilled they are but also proved to themselves that they are competent enough to use their skills towards reaching their dreams.
